A 4-way ball valve is a type of ball valve that has four ports. The ball in the valve has three or four openings, which are aligned with the ports in the valve body when the valve is in the open position. When the valve is closed, the ball rotates 90 degrees, blocking flow through one or more of the ports. The design can have a single inlet port with three outlet ports, or two inlet and outlet ports to control flow from two different sources.
4-way ball valves are typically used in applications where there is a need to divert flow from one line to another. They are also used in applications where there is a need to mix or blend two fluids.
