A concentric butterfly valve is a type of butterfly valve where the axis of the valve stem is aligned with the center of the valve body. This design makes the valve simpler to manufacture and maintain, but it also reduces the sealing capability of the valve.
Concentric butterfly valves are typically used in applications where there are less demanding requirements for sealing and where the cost of the valve is a major consideration.
